Industrial Applications:
1. Mining Industry
Operating Principle: Vacuum filters use negative pressure (typically 0.04–0.07 MPa) to remove moisture from the slurry, while solid mineral particles are trapped on the filter cloth to form a filter cake. Equipment such as vacuum disc filters uses a multi-disc rotating structure to continuously complete the processes of suction filtration, drying, and unloading.
Application Effects: After dewatering, the moisture content of iron concentrate and copper concentrate can be reduced to 8–12%, meeting the requirements for transportation and smelting.
It enables continuous operation, has a large processing capacity, a high degree of automation, and significantly reduces drying energy consumption.
2. Metallurgy Industry
Operating Principle: Used for concentrate dewatering before smelting and slag-liquid separation after smelting. The vacuum system maintains a stable negative pressure through a liquid ring pump, causing the liquid in the metal ion solution or slag to be extracted, while metal oxides or residues remain on the filter cloth.
Application Effects: Improves metal recovery rate and reduces energy consumption in subsequent drying or sintering.
It can treat high-temperature, highly corrosive metallurgical waste liquids, extending equipment life and ensuring operational safety.
